Race--Farragons

ESTJ, ESTP???

Her mother's heritage and where she is now are what I call the country bumpkins. Stout hard-working people. They are mostly farmers and merchants and very social creatures with tawny skin green eyes and sandy hair. I suppose it would be your average western person in our world

Minor characters

Rölf: new baker at first town from the city, cocky arrogant, accepts her as she is,
Landlady: own the house that Anomaly lives

Acrae: Anomaly's Uncle, her father's brother;Trains her in the use of her powers and in Disceran fighting style

Race--Discerans

her father's heritage. They are known for their height, pale skin, white hair, and purple eyes, they live isolated across a sea. I've described their power to you. They also are pretty good with formal training in fighting that consists of always fighting fair. Most of them are lawful-neutral barely moving from good to evil

Fighting style: ask Naomi what this is....again... bah.

Race--Mohari

ESFP or ESTP

Their alignment is most assuredly chaotic and usually neutral or good, but mostly neutral. They are kind of a mixture of jamican and African. They live only for the present. For them there is no past or future, only this moment. Due to this, they are like gypsies or carnies. They travel from one place to another preforming for people and living life to the fullest. In general people like their performances, but not their way of life

Name taken from this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojari

Mohari move around in tribes of varying numbers. Each tribe has their own specialties and range of tattoos. Whilst all tribes are able to do the same things, like turn skins into tents, raise horses, tattoo people etc. Due to the paths each tribe takes in their travels, they have adapted.

e.g. A tribe which passes the coast or along rivers and lakes often may have a larger proportion of fishers. A tribe which spends most of their time in open plains may have better hunters, and then skinners/leatherworkers as a result of that.

Tribes rarely meet, but when they do they hold enormous parties to celebrate, these will be days long and full of eating, sharing stories and weddings. Whilst marriages within a tribe are common, genetically this will pose a problem after so many generations, so when tribes meet they'll often hold up to a dozen weddings. The Mohari are very impulsive people, so they meet someone, they like each other, next day they get married. In normal civilizations, such as ours, this would seem to be a stupid idea, as there isn't enough time to get to know the person and figure out compatibility etc.

These things are unecessary to the Mohari. Their unique trait is hope. They could bring into their camp two soldiers of opposing armies and in a single night have them drinking around the fire like brothers. This ability to unite anyone, combined with their focus upon tribal duties not familial duties, gives marriage a very different meaning to them. Even the concept of parenthood differs.

Due to an individual Mohari's role, should they be scout, or hunter, or forrager, it may be necessary for them to consistently spend many days away from the tribe. This flies in the face of traditional parenting, which requires both parents being there for their child. This is why one role in each tribe is that of 'Mother', which can be a single or individual or a group, depending on the size of tribe and number of children. This Mother, is not the natural parent of the tribe's children, but fulfil's that role whilst the real parents are doing their tasks, whatever they may be. The Mother raises them, feeds them and teaches them.

As the parent-child relationship differs, this isn't a society where your job is dictated by what your parents are. Each Mohari is trained in all areas, giving them a level of self-sufficiency, but as each child shows an aptitude for a role, they are encouraged to invest in that area as a specialisation.

Now back to marriage. If two members of differing tribes get married, whose tribe do they join? As the Mohari pursue experiences and stories, each will want to join the other's tribe for the new experiences and people to meet. They settle this themselves, but sometimes the choice is out of their hands. If one of them is a Master of their ribe, say a Master tattooist. Then it is that Master's obligation to remain with the tribe until their apprentice is fully trained.

And if both of them are Masters with untrained apprentices? Well.. fudge, I haven't thought of that one yet.

Once the apprentice is fully trained the Masteri s then free to leave the tribe. Moving from tribe to tribe is very common and is one way they share knowledge and skills, by having an expert Hunter join a tribe who doesn't have as many good hunters, he can teach those there, improving the life of the tribe as a whole.

Each Mohari will know their tribes travel manifesto, the journey they take, where they stop etc. As most tribes follow a path, so even if a married couple are stuck with one tribe a couple of years, they spouse will know the location of their tribe, and will be able to lead their family to them once they can go.

Mohari are tattooed from a young age. A Mohari's tattoos are his story, his life. To see his full tattoo is to see the entirety of his life, good and bad, major events, tribes joined and left. The various locations and types of tattoo are what signify what it means.

next you have the Seth's people. They are of a more asian type of culture and look as well. It's very military and obedience is the most important part of their culture. Everything is formal and touch never happens. Though stocism is encouraged, control is not taught and they tend to have spasm of passion whether in rage or love. It's also the most technicalologically advanced--very steampunk. They are most assuredly Lawful and will either lean good or evil. Rarely neutral

Name taken as the design of their city is broken into 5 segments, each one reflecting the style of technological development that sector focuses on (See here).

As a nation they have the unique ability of foresight. They are people who can see the possibilities of life and can then act on it. This is what makes them so good at being scientists, they're exploring an avenue of science, see the possible outcomes which is what spurns them to making advances.

They do this at a near religious level, because one possibility they are sure of, is that their entire island will one day be invaded by a northern enemy from across the sea. They don't know who it is, why they're invading or anything. They just know it's inevitable, so their 'war' is to prepare the land for this eventuality. The entire land will need to work together to beat them, and the fastest way to get the land behind you is to conquer them.

their thinking maybe "it's share and share all alike" but only among their people
[7:33:22 PM] Erica Ceae: in reality they are quite racist.
[7:33:35 PM] Erica Ceae: It's our knowledge, its our way of living
[7:34:13 PM] Erica Ceae: think of a bunch of Americans...
[7:34:26 PM] Scott Atkins: The american dream.
[7:34:36 PM] Scott Atkins: Our way of life, whether you want it or not.
[7:34:44 PM] Scott Atkins: We'll convince you that you want it.
[7:34:48 PM] Erica Ceae: but the thing is they are selfish about it.
[7:34:54 PM] Erica Ceae: Only for the steamers
[7:35:05 PM] Erica Ceae: no immigrants allowed
[7:35:18 PM] Erica Ceae: and if you infringe our space, we'll bomb you
[7:35:26 PM] Erica Ceae: you believe another God? we'll bomb you
[7:35:32 PM] Scott Atkins: Even if you don't, we'll still probably bomb you.
[7:35:41 PM] Erica Ceae: That's the steamers
[7:35:51 PM] Erica Ceae: They are freaking Americans
[7:36:05 PM] Scott Atkins: Communist America

Pirates

mixture of Nomads and Steamers

ENFP

Pirates, are not a single organisation. Or a loose organisation. Or an organisation at all.

200 years before the present era, a group of Steamer soldiers in the mountains found an old military base, this base contained records that were 1800 years old, they gave details of a great war that destroyed the land. This group were naturally unsettled by this, as they seen their own home going down the same militaristic path. So they warned them to stop.

But the leadership of the Steamers instead viewed this report as verification that the northern threat is real and not just a delusion, so they redoubled their war efforts. This caused some of the soldiers to rebel and leave the military. They took up arms and hide in the mountains, mainly the military base they discovered but never revealed the location of. They took part in guerilla warfare, doing what they could to limit and restrict the Steamers military growth.

Over time this original purpose was mostly lost. Many died, other Steamers, sick of the efficient orderly life, craved freedom and joined to fight back an oppressive government system. Many Mohari wanting new experiences joined. Many groups elsewhere hearing of this lot, formed their own 'cells' of Pirates. So today barely a handful would know the original purpose, and even then it'd be on par with a myth or legend. Many are in it just for the piracy and looting, many more to attack the Steamers. There are as many different reasons for being a Pirate as there are Pirates. Some with good motives, some with selfish ones.

The Pirates do have airships, but no more than 4. These will be ramshackle things held together with duct tape and a prayer.

[23:18:27] Scott Atkins: Don't stand there.
[23:18:29] Scott Atkins: Why?
[23:18:32] Scott Atkins: When we nitro that area falls away.

Yes, the ships will have a nitro. But the force is so powerful it damages the ship to use it, causing planks, repairs and sometimes whole sections of the hull to fall away. So it's for emergency use only.

The benefit to this ramshackle nature is that repairs require whatever materials are on hand and not specialist equipment. Though this also means that renegade techs from the Steamers are valuable allies.

With the freedom that coems with Pirate life, this is appealling even to Techs, who can now build things as they please.

"Hey, what's that thing?"
"Oh, it's a button I built."
"What's it do?"
Tech pushes the button, they both look at an orange cloud in the distance from where something exploded.
"That."

General of the army, making him the most powerful person in their country

He's not exactly evil per se, he's more doing what he thinks to be necessary. He rules his land with an iron fist, but a fair iron fist. There is no inequality, everybody is equal, everybody has their own role to fulfil. He is a natural spokesman and sways the people to his side through excellent oratory.

General Technology

Different types of techs named by what kind of element they work with

Aeronin (air) flight [Icarus] - Focusing mainly upon building airships. Wings, balloons, hulls of ships.
Hydronin (water) boats. Focusing upon the manufacture of sails, hulls and other pieces required to build and maintain a ship
Terranin (earth) agricultural, land transport, think trains.
Pyrenin-- (fire) focus on the improvement and development of new engines, these engines may not be designed for anything in particular, they're just prototype engines that will then be made for each type of vehicle individually.
Ebonin--[like black (ebony) smith (nin by word for creator)] (war) focus on canons, swords
